Don’t let anything stand in the way of your happiness

Reach your full potential through hypnotherapy

How hypnotherapy works

You will learn about your subconscious processes

Hypnosis works with the subconscious mind. The subconscious is like a “genie in a bottle” and works to give you what it thinks your “wishes” are.

You’ll realize the effects it has on your decisions

If you want to lose weight, your subconscious genie will encourage you to eat what you’re wishing for. Because in the past, it made you feel comforted.

You’ll learn to refocus your mind to make change

Through hypnosis, we help your mind understand what it is you really want. Then your subconscious and conscious can become “one minded.”

Unlike conventional therapies that keep you coming back for years, robbing you of time and precious resources, our desire is for you to become independent of therapy. We want you out living your life, not sitting in a therapists office. Many treatments can be handled in one session. Pornography, PTSD, smoking, and weight loss treatments typically take three or more sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state. We all go in and out of trance every day. Sleep is the deepest level of trance. If you have ever cried during a movie, been absorbed in a good book, or driven somewhere and not remembered how you got there you have experienced a trance state.

Can the Hypnotist control my mind and make me do things that I do not want to do?

No, people will never do anything that they are morally opposed to. If hypnosis was mind control Hypnotists would be among the richest people in the world, and have perfectly behaved children.

Are the things that I say and do during a hypnotic session kept confidential?

Yes, everything is kept completely confidential. We as professionals value your privacy.

What if I can’t be hypnotized?

In our professional opinion everyone can be hypnotized. There are those however that choose not to be hypnotized. Hypnosis is a very powerful tool for change and it is regrettable that anyone would choose not to use it.

How long will the effect of the hypnosis last? Are the changes permanent?

Most changes are permanent. Though there are times that a person can become re-sensitized to a situation or event. In those cases another session to fine tune the hypnosis is very helpful and usually successful.

Do you always have to bring up some traumatic event from my earlier life?

No, though there are times that this is beneficial. When the client is opposed to revisiting certain events, we can still help with what we call Blissnosis. Blissnosis is simply a way to help the client feel happier, more content and at peace despite anything that may have happened to them previously in life. Our goal is to help you in any way we can, not re-traumatize you.

How long does a hypnotherapy session last?

Most sessions last between an hour and an hour and a half.

What happens if I don’t come out of hypnosis?

Because hypnosis is a natural sleep with sleep being the deepest state of trance. The worst thing that will happen is that you will fall asleep and wake up at a later time. (Though there are people who go around in a state of trance on a regular bases. They have taught themselves to tune out the world around them. Perhaps you have noticed the person who is always texting, Facebooking etc. These people need to be de-hypnotized.)

Will I remember and be aware of what happens during the session?

In hypnotherapy you will have a heightened state of awareness. You will remember everything that is said and done. You will be ultra-aware. The only time you would not remember is if you accepted the suggestion by the Hypnotist to forget. For example, a disturbing memory.

Is hypnotherapy guaranteed to treat me?

No, hypnotherapy sessions are not guaranteed to cure you. The success of the treatment depends upon the willingness, effort and motivation of the person being hypnotized.

Can children be hypnotized?

Children are usually among those who live in what we call a somnambulistic state. They already live in their imaginations. When they imagine that they are a dinosaur, astronaut etc.…they really believe they are one. Children can be easily hypnotized. However we prefer that they be at least 8 years old and accompanied by an adult. (Though we have worked with children younger than this. It is a case by case decision.)
